Summer

I'm still trying to "Summer" even though Fall is closing in fast.
It is extremely difficult not to be wearing jackets and Fall layers right now. Fall is my favorite season to dress for and I am fortunate enough to live in a place that never really gets "hot". I find myself throwing on a flannel and jacket more often then I probably should during the summer months.

Shades of Turquoise

I wore this outfit for a girls day in Santa Fe with my bestie this weekend.
When you live in New Mexico, turquoise is a must...it's practically everywhere you look.  I decided to mix different shades of turquoise all into one outfit between my necklace, rings and earrings.  I have always LOVED turquoise on red which is why I chose this red striped top to pair it with.

Birthday Docs

Saturday was a weird day....
I put this outfit together, then it snowed.  I went back home and got out my coat, scarf and sweater and an hour later the sun came out.  I was super bummed that the weather was so crazy because my plans for Saturday included: Birthday hike, laying out in the sun, weeding the yard.

This outfit includes my new dark cherry red Dr. Marten's that I bought myself for my Birthday (May 6th).  Yes, I bought myself a Birthday gift and I sold about 5 things on eBay so I could afford these gorgeous boots.

Mixin' It Up

It is finally warm enough to comfortably wear flats without freezing my toes off!!
I wore this outfit to work with black boots (and my work vest of course) but once I arrived home I changed into this pair of teal flats and threw on my striped coat for a fun pattern mix of leopard print and stripes.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day was fantastic this year!
Of course I had to find a fun way to wear my green and what better way to wear green then with a sparkly skirt!  This skirt goes from pretty outdoors to gorgeous inside when it catches the indoor light.  I was lucky enough to catch this gold pleated skirt brand new with tags on eBay for only $10 (originally $56 at NY&C).  I received sooo many complements on this skirt, I absolutely love it!

Southwestern Rustic

I put this outfit together for an afternoon of working and attending the Skiesta brew fest on our local ski hill.  The weather was cold but the sun was hot so I went with layers and my floppy hat to keep my face, head and neck from being burned.

This hat worked as intended, no sunburns after the event!!

This is the top I wore to the ski hill with the same jacket (I actually had my t-shirt under the flannel just in case I was too warm).

Here we are at Skiesta! My husband is using his hood to keep from being burned.
