There is no better combination than orange and leopard...

Wait, scratch that....just about anything and leopard is a fabulous combination!

Picked up this tweed vest at Old Navy a while back for a cool $10 during the 50% off outerwear sale!  Did I do good or what?!

Today's Moment:

I have been majorly putting off coloring my hair, but today, my student said this:

 "Mrs.R.  Why is your hair brown on top and then turns into blonde?" 

Although the ombre style hair may be "in" right now, skanky roots are not (as far as I know, enlighten me if they are and maybe I can put it off a little longer!).  I now know what I will be doing this weekend!!

Feminine and Fun

Whenever I have no clue on what I am going to wear, I pick one piece of clothing (whether it be a shirt, a cardigan, pants, a pair of shoes, ect) and wave it around in my closet until a color combo catches my eye, which is how I came up with today's outfit of the day.  I know it sounds silly... me standing in my closet, waving articles of clothing around...but, hey, whatever works!

Blanket Cardigan

This outfit is a Pinterest inspiration. 

 While browsing through Pinterest a while back, I came across a picture of an outfit someone had put together with the same cardigan that I have! I just had to try it out... (Went back to my Pinterest account and could no longer find the original picture.)

I was a little bummed that the Mr. got home right at sunset so unfortunately my pictures look grainy, sorry!

Colorado Thanksgiving Part 2

On another note....

My uncle, an Episcopal Priest who we visited in Colorado last week, has recently published a book called "The Food and Feasts of Jesus".  It is a fantastic book that discusses what the people ate and how people lived in the time of Jesus and comes with recipes as well! Defiantly take a look at it out if you are a foodie or interested in the history of that time period!

Thanksgiving in Colorado

I spent the past few days in Pagosa Springs, Colorado with my family for Thanksgiving!

We had a great time.  We cooked, hiked, visited, sang, ate, and soaked in the hot springs.  I am defiantly not ready to go back to work...

Bandelier

Today we went to Bandelier National Monument!! It has ancient cliff dwellings from the Anasazi Indians from 1000's of years ago. This park has always been a favorite of the family, we have been visiting Bandelier since I was 14 years old and now I live so close to the park that we should get to go more often.  I love walking through the park, it's such a cool feeling to walk where these ancient cliff dwellers once walked and lived so many years ago.

What to wear when hiking?

Flannel is what my family chose; very easy to layer with when it is freezing in the shade but hot in the sun.
