Mixin' It Up

It is finally warm enough to comfortably wear flats without freezing my toes off!!
I wore this outfit to work with black boots (and my work vest of course) but once I arrived home I changed into this pair of teal flats and threw on my striped coat for a fun pattern mix of leopard print and stripes.

St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day was fantastic this year!
Of course I had to find a fun way to wear my green and what better way to wear green then with a sparkly skirt!  This skirt goes from pretty outdoors to gorgeous inside when it catches the indoor light.  I was lucky enough to catch this gold pleated skirt brand new with tags on eBay for only $10 (originally $56 at NY&C).  I received sooo many complements on this skirt, I absolutely love it!

Indoors the light caught this gold pleated skirt and made it sparkle.

Southwestern Rustic

I put this outfit together for an afternoon of working and attending the Skiesta brew fest on our local ski hill.  The weather was cold but the sun was hot so I went with layers and my floppy hat to keep my face, head and neck from being burned.

This hat worked as intended, no sunburns after the event!!

This is the top I wore to the ski hill with the same jacket (I actually had my t-shirt under the flannel just in case I was too warm).

Here we are at Skiesta! My husband is using his hood to keep from being burned.

Blue All Over

I wore this outfit to what felt like my first time out in weeks!
Karaoke has started back up at the local pub and my husband and I are running it together. I was super excited being that, recently, most of my days are spent working or at home on the couch with a hot pack on my side and pain meds in my belly. Unfortunately, I'm still not feeling well...what I thought was going to be an easy, "let's take out your gallbladder and your pain will go away" type of thing ended up being more of a "hmmm, your test results aren't matching up with any of your symptoms... and by the way you have a mysterious cyst hanging out near your kidney".  Starting to feel like I am on an episode of House M.D.

Back to this outfit...
I don't know why it took me this long to realize that hi-rise jeans/jeggings are MAGIC

"What is this...you mean to tell me I don't need to constantly be pulling on my pants up to make sure I don't have a muffin top showing?!?  NO BELT REQUIRED!?!?"  It's the little things...

I love the look of midi rings and had to give them a try.  The one pictured below fits great and doesn't bug me or feel like it's going to slide off (which is what I was concerned about).  What do you think of midi rings?
