Blue All Over

I wore this outfit to what felt like my first time out in weeks!
Karaoke has started back up at the local pub and my husband and I are running it together. I was super excited being that, recently, most of my days are spent working or at home on the couch with a hot pack on my side and pain meds in my belly. Unfortunately, I'm still not feeling well...what I thought was going to be an easy, "let's take out your gallbladder and your pain will go away" type of thing ended up being more of a "hmmm, your test results aren't matching up with any of your symptoms... and by the way you have a mysterious cyst hanging out near your kidney".  Starting to feel like I am on an episode of House M.D.

Back to this outfit...
I don't know why it took me this long to realize that hi-rise jeans/jeggings are MAGIC

"What is this...you mean to tell me I don't need to constantly be pulling on my pants up to make sure I don't have a muffin top showing?!?  NO BELT REQUIRED!?!?"  It's the little things...

I love the look of midi rings and had to give them a try.  The one pictured below fits great and doesn't bug me or feel like it's going to slide off (which is what I was concerned about).  What do you think of midi rings?

Valentine's Day

I have always loved the combination of red and pink which is why I had to give it a shot this Valentine's Day! It was a great day; Starbucks, Movie, Photo Shoot (pictures to come!) and dinner at our local pub.  Fantastic weather to boot!

Typical Day

This outfit is a very typical run around town outfit for me. This is a true representation of what I normally wear on a day to day basis.

It's no secret that I enjoy putting together casual outfits and this was perfect for our 60 degree (Ignore the snow shovel in the background) weather as well as hopping in and out of the car from place to place.

Winter Essential

Although wearing fun, cozy sweaters is great for winter...my #1 winter essential has been this red and black buffalo plaid top.  It has been, by far, the most warn item in my closet this season. I can't get enough of it!

It was a fairly warm day today so I paired it with some short booties and the turquoise bracelets for a pop of color.

I wore this outfit to the *gulp* surgeon's office today.  Lately, I have gradually lost the ability to eat ANYTHING without severe pain in my right side.  It is looking like my gallbladder is the prime suspect. It will most likely have to come out soon so I can eat again without pain.  Yeah, remember a few posts ago when I was complaining about my clothes not fitting?  Not a problem anymore (but also not a fun way to lose weight)!

I bought this ring as a "happy" for myself (combining a 25% coupon and my vault points for a killer discount of course!).  Gave me something to look forward to in the mail while not feeling so hot.
